One of the perks of living and working in NYC

So I thought this was kinda cool, but kinda forgot about it. Then I thought I'd share it here. I think my non-New York friends and family (well, basically Ashleigh will) will enjoy this little tidbit.

So that Thursday morning I had to go to work ended up being the Today Show's Christmas party. We had the Today Show logo up on our screen, but it hadn't really dawned on me until I was looking at the run of show. I was like "holy crap! The musician playing is James Blunt?! Who has James Blunt at their office Christmas Party?" To which the lead tech says, "umm....the Today Show." Then I realize I'm very dumb for staring at the Today Show logo up on our screen all morning and not putting two and two together. In my defense, I was on three hours of sleep.

So yeah, we did the Today Show's party. It was pretty cool. I've done events with celebrities before, but this was definitely the most low-key and personal of them. At one point, I was about five feet from Meredith Viera, Al Roker, and Matt Lauer. And James Blunt played....and yes, he sang his stupid "You're Beautiful" song.

Oh, and James Blunt is tiny. He looks like a mouse.
