I've decided that from now on, whenever someone asks, "How long have you been here[there]?" My response will always be "long enough."
This way if anyone does anything embarrassing prior to me entering a room thinking they are alone, they will instantly be embarrassed regardless of whether or not I actually saw them do said embarrassing thing.
